This Holiday season take the time to reconnect with the family and friends who are important to you!
It’s that time of year again, my favorite season – Fall! It has gotten significantly colder since my return to the US and I gotta say, I’m loving it. This season always gets me in the mood for coffee dates, ice skating and movie nights with friends. Around Thanksgiving time I always think of how grateful I am for the people who have filled my life with lots of love and laughter. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving and Fall, I decided to do an outfit inspiration post with somebody who I am thankful for, and that person is none other than my BFF Elena! Elena and I both LOVE this season so of course we had to do a look to inspire you all to create some coordinating looks for you and your BFF with this seasons trends. Unless you’ve been living under a rock – I think you will have noticed that plaid, checkered, or tartan patterns have been very popular recently. Here is our take on how to incorporate these into your closet and stay casual chic!

A little bit about Elena and I, we have been friends for ten years or more – but BEST friends for the past 4 or 5 years. We have been friends since high school and our friendship definitely had a rocky beginning. Over the past decade we’ve had our ups and downs and have managed to maintain our friendship as well as our individuality. In fact, sometimes I think we could honestly not be more different. But that is why I am thankful for her – we understand and respect how different we are. And she isn’t afraid to give me the harsh truth, but also knows exactly when I need a pity party.
So in honor of our more than a decade of friendship – we recently got matching tattoos! We decided to get the congruent symbol on our ankles. The congruent sign is used to describe objects that are equal but not the same and we thought that was perfect for us – “same same, but different!” Thankful for this girl in my life who lifts me up and keeps me grounded at the same time.
