Copenhagen Guide: A day in Denmark

Hey guys! Kicked off my Eurotrip this year with a 24 hour stop in Copenhagen, often called the happiest city in the world. If you only have limited time like me here’s how to tackle the city in a day. Getting around Copenhagen We landed at the airport and took a taxi to our hostel. The taxi was actually pretty pricey ~323DKK ($50) but didn’t want to use an hour via public transportation. If you do take a taxi download their taxi app and your first booking gets about $5 off! Our hostel, Steel House Copenhagen was exactly what we needed, a place to shower and sleep for a night. The vibe was super cool and there were young travelers as well as families. They have bikes you can rent and activities every night! The hotel we stayed at was pretty close to all the places we wanted to see…

Joshua Tree: A magical weekend in the desert

GUYS! I am so excited to share this post with you all. Over the weekend I disconnected from my phone for a day and it was pretty freeing to not think, “oh I should post this to instastory”. I am all for social media, but Kevin has always wanted to do a trip where we disconnect and I decided to do that for his birthday! As you may know by now, I took Kevin on a trip to Joshua Tree National Park for his twenty-eighth birthday and it was probably one of the top trips we’ve taken together so far. How to get to Joshua Tree The closest airport to Joshua Tree is the Palm Springs airport. Unfortunately the weekend of his birthday Splash House was also going on so the flights were insane and overpriced. A good alternative to flying into PS is to book a flight into Burbank…

California Coast: Glamping in Mendocino

As someone who loves adventure and travel, I feel so blessed to live in California – a state where a new experience is never too far away. That’s why I was so excited to find this glamping location and even more excited to be able to experience it with my best friend and her boyfriend. As young girls in high school we always talked about when we got older we would road trip with our boyfriends and all be BFFs! lolol. #DREAMCOMETRUE in more ways than one. (but that will be a separate post) Glamping: The Campsite First off, they’re dog friendly! So you can bring your furry best friend along which was a HUGE plus for us. Traveling so much, I often have to leave Leo at home with my parents or friends and I always miss him so much. So for $20/ night you can bring your doggie…

Mammoth Lakes: Weekend Getaway

This one is for all my nature lovers and hikers out there. Kevin surprised me with a spontaneous road trip to Mammoth Lakes, CA this weekend and it was so fun! It’s been awhile since we’ve gone on a last minute road trip and it reminded me of all the ones we did when we first started dating. (Except now we fart and burp with ease in the car hehe.) Mammoth Lakes Getting there Mammoth is located just south of Yosemite – easy to get to from the south, but for us in the North it’s a bit of a trek. From the Bay, you will either need to go through Yosemite or above and around. If you choose to drive through Yosemite you might want to spend one night in the park since you’ll have to pay the entrance fee ($30). And if you’re cheap like us then you…
